What is #RenoChats?

EU Peers is a European Community of Practice that aims to promote and support the one-stop-shop concept to increase the residential energy renovation rate.

The European Union, in its EPBD (Energy Performance of Buildings Directive), is encouraging Member States to set up structures of this type.

As part of this, EU Peers has set itself the task of identifying and disseminating expert knowledge and know-how to its members about the implementation of one-stop shops. The aim of this approach is to contribute to the deployment of the capacities of these structures by giving them access to what others have already been able to work on or build.

Filao Labs, a member of the EU Peers consortium, has designed and is in charge of producing RenoChats, talk-shows on the subject of structuring and the best solutions on the renovation market: free interviews with the best experts on the market, to enable everyone in Europe to discover the most refined and expert thinking and studies and the career paths of the most successful players.

#RenoChats is an opportunity to discover the ones who are building this market, which is as essential for the climate as it is for our energy independence and social cohesion.

We are very proud and happy to be able to offer you these monthly interviews with individuals who are particularly committed, invested and successful in bringing about the major change that is the transition of our societies.

A number of themes will be addressed in the upcoming months, with the first #RenoChats focusing on the subject of financing. After first insights from French stakeholders, we will widen the lens and have contributions from other countries.

First RenoChats

The first RenoChat (12/24) was devoted to Françosie Réfabert, who was behind the emergence of the status of third-party financing companies (renovation operators who can distribute financing).

The second RenoChat (01/25) welcomed Sébastien Delpont, Ressorts, on the subject of impact contracts as contributors to renovation financing.

The following RenoChats will give us the opportunity to listen to :

- Stéphanie Flacher (02/25) on the subject of the obstacles to renovation financing by banks and how to overcome them,

- Alice Morcrette, Managing Director of Hauts de France Pass Renovation, who will take us through the skills and know-how of one of France's leading property developers. Note that her organisation has the status of a third-party financing company and can therefore distribute credit.

- Maxime Lenglet, Managing Director of Oktave (Grand Est region), France's second leading turnkey operator, which has developed efficient approaches to linking operators and banks,

- and Claire Dagnogo, CSR Director of Procivis, France's No. 2 social housing group. Claire will explain her group's strategy on renovation issues, and in particular the key role played by Procivis in pre-financing advances on government grants and subsidies.

Each #RenoChat is broadcast on YouTube with English subtitles. Link: https://www.youtube.com/@Renochats
