Who We Are & Our Mission
The Transnational Community Platform is EU Peers' largest and most diverse platform, serving as the pan-European meeting ground for everyone working on one-stop shop models for residential energy renovation. Open to all OSS practitioners and supporters, our community spans the entire EU, from Cleantech Bulgaria to AdEPorto Portugal, from Finland to National Technical University of Athens Greece, connecting energy agencies, local/regional authorities, private companies, NGOs, and research institutions. Our mission: create an inclusive European space where OSS providers exchange knowledge, learn from diverse approaches, tackle common challenges, and collectively advance residential renovation, ensuring no organisation feels isolated in transforming Europe's building stock. Being one of the key entry points to the Community, the meetings are open for members and non-members.

How We Work Together
We meet four times a year online, once every season. What makes meetings special: topics are member-chosen, ensuring discussions genuinely address collective needs. This democratic approach yielded essential sessions on financing models, tackling energy poverty, resident engagement for multi-family buildings, and navigating new EU directives. Recent meetings featured inspiring case studies: Summer 2025 meeting examined digital tools to use as a OSS; Winter 2025 explored OSS providers REVERTER and EcoVision supporting energy-poor households; Spring 2024 focused on Vilnius City Building Renovation Company's resident engagement approaches.

Highlights & Impact
The Transnational Community catalyzes cross-border learning and innovation. Belgium's EnergieCentrale shared that every euro invested generates 16 euros back to local economy, having advised 17,000+ households. Spanish ESCO EOS RenovAccion Profunda emphasizes "financing is part but essential part of solution," driving innovative financial model discussions. Jointly organised by Climate Alliance, Energy Cities, and FEDARENE, we embody EU Peers' vision of united European collaboration toward a large-scale deployement of OSS across Europe, accelerating our path to zero-emission building stock by 2050.

The European Week of Regions and Cities in October 2025 set the stage for a dynamic gathering on one of Europe’s most pressing challenges: accelerating residential energy renovation. Against this background, the EU Peers Community of Practice brought together over 70 OSS practitioners in Brussels for its second summit - three dedicated exchange sessions over two days designed not just to inform, but to connect the people driving one-stop shops on the ground.
The South East Energy Agency (SEEA) recently welcomed a diverse group of stakeholders to its latest EU Peers Capacity Building Webinar, an interactive session that explored the transformative potential of Integrated Home Renovation Services (IHRS) and One-Stop-Shops (OSS) in tackling energy poverty across Europe. Part of the EU Peers initiative, funded by the LIFE Programme, the webinar highlighted how collaborative efforts can strengthen, upscale, and harmonise home renovation support services across the EU.
The EU Peers Mentoring Programme is opening a new opportunity for hands-on learning: four in-person study visits, each hosted by an experienced organisation operating or supporting One-Stop Shops (OSS) and Integrated Home Renovation Services (IHRS). If your organisation is working to scale up residential energy renovation - or planning to establish an OSS - these visits offer practical insights.
